Stages of the Spiritual Life: A Practical Guide by Fr. Mark Bentz, S.T.L is an excellent framework for understanding your personal journey with the Holy Spirit. You can find it among the confessional materials.
For an overall understanding of how powerful a gift the sacraments are we highly recommend the book Be Transformed by Bob Schuchts. A great resource for deepening and healing our relationship with God.
Based on more than thirty-five years of experience as a therapist and decades spent in parish ministry, Schuchts demonstrates how each of the seven sacraments can be a life-changing encounter with Christ, communicated through the power of the Holy Spirit. He pairs each healing sacrament with one of the seven deadly wounds that emanated from original sin in the Garden of Eden. We perpetuate and deepen those wounds each time we sin, but the sacraments are God’s remedy for sin. They give us a way to restore us to wholeness in Christ.
After much prayer and at-home catechesis, if your child is exhibiting preparedness to receive the sacrament, contact our parish staff for an assessment.
Después de mucha oración y catequesis en casa, si su hijo muestra preparación para recibir el sacramento, comuníquese con nuestro personal parroquial para una evaluación.
Once all documents have been turned in to Ally or María, and you have completed one of the recommended formation courses, you are welcome to schedule your child's baptism.
